Biathlon is one of the most challenging winter sports. If you have ever wanted to try it, now is the time. Come to one of our clinics to learn about the sport.
During our clinics, we will start with basic gun and range safety, followed by shooting practice at the Biathlon targets. After you get the hang of the shooting at the target, anyone who wants to try it, we will go for a ski on the penalty loop- a short lap – then come in and shoot, then ski the loop again, then shoot again. Challenge yourself to see how well you can shoot when your heart rate is high from skiing!
Space is limited, and pre-registration is required via e-mail or by calling or texting the lodge 802-765-0016. If space is available, we will accept drop-ins.
The clinic is $30, in addition to your trail pass and/or rentals, to help cover the cost of rifle maintenance and ammunition. Clinics will begin at 1pm. Sign in at the lodge, we’ll meet there or on the range, depending on weather conditions.
Clinics will be held every Sunday starting January 5th. Our December 29th clinic has been canceled due to poor snow and weather conditions.
We will also hold some biathlon races in 2020. Please check back for a race schedule.
We’ve started an email list for Biathlon and our Strafford Nordic Ski Club information, you can join it below if you are interested.
